Dear Gary:  Now that Lou and I are back from the honeymoon and settling into our lives as a newlywed couple, I wanted you to know how much we appreciated working with you and the Philly Funk Authority for our wedding.  You guys are absolutely incredible musicians and truly rocked the house.  We have received several phone calls after the wedding all with rave reviews about how awesome you were.  From the ceremony to the cocktail reception to the full reception, you made it seamless and the music was terrific.

I can't tell you how much we appreciated you learning 2 new songs to incorporate as our first dance and my song to my new hubby. I hope you will add them both to your repertoire as they sounded great as if you'd been playing them for years.

I can't wait to get our video back as I know the videographer captured the horn section when they surrounded me in a parade like fashion...that was so cool!

Mark and I wanted to thank you both and of course the rest of the PHILLY FUNK AUTHORITY gang for making our wedding SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys made everything from start to finish, so EASY. Our family and friends have not stopped raving about how great "the band" was!!!!! And a big THANK YOU for allowing Mark's dad to join in for a few songs! He was so thankful and had such a great time playing with you guys!!!! Honestly, we had the time of our lives and we really do have you guys to thank! My only regret is, we never really got a chance to introduce ourselves to the entire band and to really be able to say THANK YOU in person! Hiring the Philadelphia Funk Authority to play at our daughter's wedding was THE best decision we made.

The band got a crowd on the dance floor early- and kept them there all night long!  To quote one guest, "I had to keep dancing because I wasn't going to let good music go to waste."

Thanks to all of the band members for their professionalism and for truly caring about the success of the evening.

My advice to anyone desiring a fun and memorable event: hire a band...and make that band The Philadelphia Funk Authority!!

We can't even imagine what our wedding day would have been like without Philly Funk! We loved every minute of your entertainment. Your band made us feel special, and really catered to our before hand requests - it was just such a wonderful night.

Entertainment is such an important part of a wedding - and we are so lucky to have found you and for you to have been available, especially on the eve of a holiday weekend! We had the best time - we're still talking about  it! 

I can't wait to recommend you to friends and family getting married in the future. Now when we are invited to a wedding we are going to be "band snobs" - because no one will have as good of a band as we did, unless they hire you!

I just want to thank you for everything you did to contribute to what was a spectacular night.  Philly Funk was everything I knew it would be - just the best kick-ass party band of all.  The playing and the singing were top shelf all the way.   The ladies were excellent and Dale's vocal on Overjoyed was beautiful.  And thank you for letting me sit in.  You all worked really hard and kept things going.  I have never been to an affair where the dance floor was packed from beginning to end.  I hope you all had a great time.  People could not stop raving about "that hot band" and I expect you will pick up some gigs as a result.  I can tell you that my younger daughter Elizabeth already wants me to hire you for her wedding, hopefully not too soon though.  Please feel free to use me as an endorsement for the band.  Once again, Bonnie and I sincerely thank you and the band for a night that we will never forget.

Its been a few weeks now since the wedding and I've finally had some time to sit back and write you a quick note. All I can say is WOW! If there was one portion of the wedding that truly exceeded our expectations it was Philly Funk. A month later and people are still talking about how awesome the band was. Some people have said that it was the best time they've ever had at a wedding and we credit that to you. You guys helped to make our wedding one of the most fantastic days of our lives. I saw people dancing that I never saw dance before. I think there was a point when every single person in the place was dancing. I can't say enough. You guys were awesome! Hopefully we are lucky enough to see you guys at a wedding again.

Dear Gary, I can't begin to tell you how much fun we all had at Harry's Bar Mitzvah celebration! My friends were blown away and we've been getting calls from everyone and they're all screaming about the "band!" I personally felt like I knew you all forever and that meant so much. I wanted a party where everyone felt connected and comfortable enough that partying like crazy was the only option. You all made that happen and we will never forget how wonderful you were. So now I have to have an event just so I can see you all again! I'm sure that JB feels the same!

We just wanted to say thanks for the terrific job that you guys did at our wedding. The whole day was perfect, and the band was a big part of that!

From the personalized music that was played during the ceremony, to the two father/daughter & mother/son dance songs that you learned for us, to the incredible party atmosphere that you created at the reception, we couldn't have possibly found a more perfect band for the occasion.

We've been to plenty of weddings, and I'm not sure that I can ever remember so many people up on the dance floor for so long. Everyone had a great time. People of all age groups were feelin' the funk - even some who we never expected to see on the dance floor!

We knew from our planning calls with Gary that this band were top notch professionals on every level. We are especially grateful for the time you took to personalize everything for us. The music was the perfect combination of our requests and other tunes that kept everyone dancing all night long. And speaking of the music, the vocals and musicianship were simply amazing.

Our main goal in finding a band for our wedding was not to find a typical "wedding band", and you guys made that happen. Absolutely nothing corny or cheesy about this band! We've already referred one couple to you (they thought you were incredible too), and we'll definitely tell all of our friends who are getting married in the future about you.

I am so sorry it took me a little while to write this email, but things have been a little chaotic after the wedding. I wanted to say thank you so much for all you so much for a job well done. I think one of the biggest compliments I heard was that when Glenn and I were doing our first dance someone thought it was a CD and when they looked up it was the band playing. What a performance you guys gave us last night.

As you may or may not know Leigh found your name on the internet and took us to hear you for the first time at the bar in Quakertown. We were sold on you guys that night.

Hi Gary, I have been meaning to write you and say hello since we got back from Hawaii--it has taken me a while to get back into the swing of things after taking 3 weeks off of work :) I know you've heard it before, but I have to tell you how absolutely AMAZING Philly Funk was at our wedding. Don't get me wrong, I knew you guys were good-but I was so impressed, I can't even put it into words. A mere thank you doesn't really cut it. You guys really turned the wedding into a party. Everyone kept asking me how I found the band and how great you guys sounded. Vince and I really can't thank you enough. I think I've mentioned that I am a publicist at Parade magazine and work with reporters pretty frequently. A reporter friend of mine at The New York Post interviewed me for the Sunday wedding column and I went on and on and raved about Philly Funk! The Crystal Plaza's cocktail hour and Philly Funk were the 2 best parts of the wedding and I made sure the reporter knew it. The announcement should run this Sunday and I really hope she uses everything I told her about you guys. Space is always limited, so I don't know what she'll use, but I had to give you a plug--you deserve it after the performance at our wedding.
